November District 12 Dialogue to feature Waterfront Development Corporation

Louisville – Councilman Rick Blackwell is encouraging residents of District 12 to come out and learn the latest on improvements to Riverview Park as part of this month’s District 12 Dialogue.

“In September, we secured full funding for the first two phases of improvements to the Park,” says Blackwell. “The Waterfront Development Corporation will be on hand at our November meeting to let everyone know how the project is moving forward.”

David Karem, President of the Waterfront Development Corporation will be the featured speaker at the event which is set for Tuesday, November 17th at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway. It will get underway at 7:00pm.

Joining Karem at the meeting will be representatives from Louisville Metro Police, the Division of Licensing and Permits, Neighborhoods and MSD to answer questions about programs or concerns. A representative of Congressman John Yarmuth’s office will also be in attendance.

“This will be our last District 12 Dialogue for 2009, so I hope everyone will come out and let us know of any problems in the area,” says Blackwell. “We are already planning our schedule for District Dialogues in 2010.
