When We Screw Up, (We Do It Well)

Well, when we screw up, we do it well, don’t we folks? I’ve learned much in my tenure here in Louisville, and I have come to realize that when we screw up when it comes to matters involving politics it is best that we admit we were wrong and apologize. That is often easier said than done when one is considered to be “media”.

Yesterday a resolution on healthcare posted as a type of news item that had actually been passed in 2006. This should have been noticed immediately, but, much to my embarassment, it was not. Now, I have to be the one that has to “man up” and accept the responsibility for the blunder.

The Healthcare Resolution is not even on the agenda to debate here in Louisville Metro Council, and though I will not debate the actual reporting of what did occur during the meeting, I apologize that it was reported here as a news item. It was not. For those involved, I apologize for any confusion that it may have caused, and I appreciate the assistance that those who caught the blunder rendered in bringing it to my attention.
