Henderson Encourages Scoop on the Loop

From the desk of Tony Hyatt, Communications Director for the Majority Caucus of Louisville Metro Council:

Louisville – It will be 100 miles long when finished and provide a path for walking, jogging and bicycling for those who want to exercise or just take a casual stroll. It is known as the Louisville Loop and on Saturday, June 27th the public will have a chance to learn more about the project.

“This path will encircle the entire area,” says Councilman Bob Henderson (D-14). “I know many people have heard about it but they may not know what the latest is on its progress.”

Henderson is encouraging everyone to learn the “Scoop on the Loop” at the Farnsley Moremen Landing from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Mayor Jerry Abramson will be on hand offering insight on the next phases and answering questions from the public. Metro Park officials will be on hand until 1:00 pm with maps on display and can also give additional information on the subject.

The meeting is an “open house” and residents are encouraged to attend at some time during the 3 hours period to find out what this might mean to the immediate area of District 14.

“The Louisville Loop is yet another example of a major project coming to southwest Jefferson County,” says Henderson. “It will be a big benefit to everyone when it is completed.”

The Loop is currently 25% complete.
