Major Public Meetings from the Majority Caucus

Two meetings have been announced involving two different Democrats from the Majority Caucus of the Louisville Metro Council. One involves coffee, the other involves traffic.

  On Saturday,  May 9th Councilman Rick Blackwell, (Dem.- 12th Dist.), will be welcoming constituents to have coffee with him at Sister Bean’s to discuss and listen to the concerns of individuals who reside in the district. Mr. Blackwell is attempting to bring the government to the people in effort to get them involved.

  If you need more information, you are asked to contact Mr. Blackwell’s office at (502)574-1112. If you would like to go and meet Mr. Blackwell and have coffee with him, then simply show up at Sister Bean’s which is located at 4956 Manslick Road at 10:00 a.m..

  The second meeting has been announced by Councilwoman Vicki Aubrey Welch, (Dem.- 13th Dist.), and will be discussing the traffic and driving conditions at the intersection of Fairdale Road, Mitchel Hill Road, West Manslick, and Mount Holly Roads. It is these intersections that the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Louisville Metro Government will be inquiring your opinion about. They are making plans of restructuring the intersection.

  The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Math 13th at the Fairdale High School located at 1001 Fairdale Road. If you would like to attend the meeting, please be aware that the meeting is approximately two hours long; lasting from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

  Questions will be posed and answered at this time, but if you do not wish to pose a question verbally, but have a written comment or concern for the Kentucky DOT, please write to the following:
